George RR Martin’s quote is one of the most beloved by readers. Reading sends us on so many journeys. It sends you to places you many never go in real life. I hope you enjoy each and every one of them.
The classics have some of the most beautiful, alluring, lyrical book quotes. Whenever I am in a reading rut, I like to revert to the classics….anything from Persuasion by Jane Austen to Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. Imagine what the classics will be like 100 years from now. Will they be the same? Probably not. But I hope so.
What are your favorite classic book reads? Do you love to read adventures written by authors like Mark Twain or Robert Luis Stevenson? Do you prefer Leo Tolstoy’s story writing or perhaps Lewis Carroll? Or would you rather read the romances by authors like Jane Austen or Emily Bronte? Either way, I don’t think you can go wrong. Happy Valentine’s Day, Reader! May you fall in love with a book today and every day.
“Stay away from the normals, the small-minded people who fill their brains with small-minded pursuits, who blend in and keep up with the Joneses. Those people will tear you down and make you boring. Instead, surround yourself with the weirds. With the misfits, oddballs, and outcasts. Because the normals, bless their hearts, have no idea how to have fun.” – Penny Reid, Beard Science
