The Second Home by Christina Clancy

  • Releasing June 2
  • Genre: Fiction
  • Publisher: St Martin’s Press

Why I am excited: The Second Home is a debut novel and I am all about new authors. Plus this one takes place on the beach of Cape Cod during the summer. It’s filled with secrets and family turmoil. It will be the perfect summer read!

The Half Sister by Sandie Jones

  • Releasing June 16
  • Genre: Thriller
  • Publisher: Minotaur

Why I am excited: Both of Sandie Jones previous novels, The Other Woman (this was one of my first posts…it’s ok to cringe at it!) and The First Mistake have made an appearance on my blog. She knows how to write a solid thriller that always has this eerie tone to it. So of course, I am excited about her new book!

My Eyes Are Up Here by Laura Zimmerman

  • Releasing June 23
  • Genre: YA
  • Publisher: Dutton

Why I am excited: My Eyes Are Up Here is about a young girl who is struggling to find herself after her body changes. I feel as if this will be a very important read for young girls. Plus I’ve been there and so has every other woman on the planet.

Take A Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert

Why I am excited: Based on the cover alone, who wouldn’t want to read Mexican Gothic? The setting of novel takes place in an isolated mansion in 1950s Mexico. There appears to be a little bit of mystery, suspense and horror. I’m 100% in!

Home Before Dark by Riley Sager

Why I am excited: Will this be my first Riley Sager? Maybe. Who knows? The cover is supposed to be glow in the dark! That alone has me intrigued.
