Top Six Anticipated Reads: April Edition

There are a TON of great books releasing in April 2020. Although I understand there may be a bit of delay between the releases and actually getting your hands on them ad that you may need to purchase these books online, I wanted to share anyways. Some of these will be featured on my blog!

And if you are one to use the library and your library is closed due to the coronavirus, do not fear. You can still add these beauties to your to-be-read shelf as I will on most.

Why I am excited: A hilarious romantic comedy when we are all in the need for a fun and lighthearted ready? Yes please! Plus, Sarah Hogle is a debut author. Will she be a breakout star? I can’t wait to see.

The Love Story of Missy Carmichael by Beth Morey

  • Releasing April 7
  • Genre: Contemporary Fiction
  • Publisher: GP Putnam’s Sons

Why I am excited: Early reviews dubs this book as a coming-of-old story that teaches us the importance of love of all kinds. This books is for readers who love A Man Called Ove, too!

The Happy Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez

  • Releasing April 16
  • Genre: Romance
  • Publisher: Forever Publishing

Why I am excited: I am a HUGE fan of The Friend Zone and I have been patiently waiting – ok not really patiently – for this sequal since summer!

Little Secrets by Jennifer Hillier

  • Releasing April 21
  • Genre: Thriller
  • Publisher: Minotaur Books

Why I am excited: I requested and received this ARC from Minotaur Books and reader, it’s a good one. There are quite a few twists and turns along the way. A full review is coming soon!

He Started It by Samantha Downing

  • Releasing April 28 Now Releasing July 28
  • Genre: Thriller
  • Publisher: Berkley

Why I am excited: This baby has been pumped up all over #Bookstagram. Plus it’s a family drama and a thriller in one! If you loved My Lovely Wife, this one is for you!

Side note: Why did I leave this in my top six if the release date has changed? Well, I wrote this post on March 29…..the news of the release date postponement came out on March 30…..so I reached out to some of my blogging friends and we all agreed I should keep it in. Why? Because there is a good chance most of you do not know the release date has changed. Consider this a PSA. We will all just have to wait a few months more!

Why I am excited: It is rumored to have a twist we won’t see coming and I am ALL ABOUT THAT!
