Have you met romance author, Jennifer Woodhull? Jennifer is a newer indie romance author. I was first introduced to her work this past spring while presented with the opportunity to read an advance copy of In Other Words and simply fell for her writing style. In fact, my blog isn’t even a year old and her books have been featured three times!
Meet Jennifer Woodhull
Jennifer Woodhull is an author of romance with lots of wit, sexy heat, and plenty of heart. She is known for writing immersive settings that take readers to a wide variety of locales around the world. Her heroines are funny, strong, make bad decisions, and get in their own way sometimes before finding their path to happiness. Her heroes are driven, funny, sweet, and sometimes complicated.
Jennifer lives in Tennessee with her real life book boyfriend and their yellow lab, who can be more persuasive than any roguish villain when he’s after a snack.
A lover of travel, Jennifer has been known to plot novels and write pages of dialogue on her phone from planes, trains, and automobiles (though not while driving, because safety first).
Jennifer loves talking with readers about her characters and their world. If you’d like to see Jennifer at a book signing event, or invite her to a book club or appearance, in-person or virtually, please drop her a line.
What is one of your all-time favorite books?
What an impossible question to answer! In the romance genre, I absolutely adore Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward’s British Bedmate, and Lauren Blakely’s Come As You Are. I read a lot of suspense, too. One of my favorite authors is Patricia Highsmith, and I love her Ripley series.
What is your writing process like?
I often see or hear something that triggers a tiny little snippet of an idea and capture it in the notes app on my phone. From there I jot down details about the main characters and their lives. I usually capture the first couple of chapters to get a feel for the characters’ voices before plotting the whole novel.
When you’re having a bad day, what do you do to make yourself feel better?
I play fetch with my dog, and do something as mindless as possible, like play a game on my phone or watch a completely silly show or movie.
What’s your favorite cheesy pick up line?
Are we in Nashville? Because you’re the only Ten-I-see.
If you could as your pet 3 questions, what would they be?
What makes you worry? What do you wish I knew? Are you glad it was us you came to live with?
What would your perfect vacation entail?
I love visiting cities, history, and adore Europe, so having unlimited time and resources to explore a new city and its place in history would be fabulous.
Give me one or three very fun fact(s) about yourself.
I have solo traveled since my early twenties; I’ve been all over the eastern U.S., England, and Europe completely on my own. Although I was born in the States, I had my Mum’s accent until I was about thirteen. I absolutely love sweets and taught myself to make French macaroon and hand-dipped truffles.

Books by Jennifer Woodhull
Jennifer currently has 8 releases (some picture above) and an upcoming release in 2020 – British Banger, part of the Cocky Hero collaboration with Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward.
You can find all of Jennifer’s releases including links to purchase at her website (links below).
In Other Words and Sour are my two favorites. Her newest release, The Last Virgin in Texas, was also super cute. You can read my reviews for all three below but be sure to check out all of her work, too. Her books are like little Hallmark romances with a whole lot of steam.
