Fun Reading Lists

Fall Book Tag

Last month, Kristin @ Kristin Kraves Books posted a super cute Fall Book Tag originally started by Bionic Book Worm a couple of years ago, so I thought I would give it a try. However, I’m going to put a little different spin on this and base my choices on books I’ve read in 2019 ONLY. That’s over 60 books according to Goodreads. 😊

The Rules

  • Please link back to me, Bionic Book Worm, as the creator of this tag!! I want to see your answers!!
  • Use the graphics – if you want 🙂
  • Have fun!

Daisy Jones and the Six | Taylor Jenkins Reid

This book is EVERYTHING and there is a REALLY good chance this book will be named my favorite book of 2019. Daisy Jones reads like an old VH1’s Behind the Music episode. There’s sex and drugs and rock and roll. There is a love triangle, band jealousy, groupies, and more. It’s such a fantastic read.

Verity | Colleen Hoover

The Rules of Burken | Traci Finlay

Both Verity by Colleen Hoover and The Rules of Burken by Traci Finley have an OMG ending that I – and I expect most readers – did not see coming. They both left me feeling stunned and asking myself, “Did I really just read that?” They are perfect reads for the month of October as well.

What the Wind Knows | Amy Harmon

What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon is such a whimsical, romantic read. Amy Harmon wrote the most beautiful historical novel. Her tale intertwines the history of Ireland, the poetry of W.B. Yeats and the timelessness of a heartbreaking love story. It has all the feels, Reader. All the feels.

Last Summer by Kerry Lonsdale

Last Summer by Kerry Lonsdale could easily be entered into the Howling Winds category because it does have an OMG ending. I was pulled into this story almost instantaneously. I did not see what was coming. The true villain of the story was completely maddening…in a great way. But alas! I needed a fall like cover…even though there is the word Summer in it.

A Court Of Mist and Fury | Sarah J Maas

A Curse So Dark and Lonely | Brigid Kemmerer

I did not read Sarah J Maas or Brigid Kemmerer until this year. Both writers have the extraordinary ability to take you to another world and I instantly fell in love with their books. A Court of Mist and Fury (actually the entire series) and A Curse So Dark and Lonely have nonstop action. Both are also five star reads for me. I could not possibly chose between the two, so you get both.

Beard Necessities | Penny Reid

Beard Necessities by Penny Reid should not be a surprise. Reader, I’ve been waiting for this book since 2014 when Beauty and the Mustache debuted. It’s Billy FREAKING Winston and Claire McClure’s (aka Scarlett St. Claire) story. It’s been years in the making…YEARS. As the release date drawers nearer and nearer, I will be putting family, friends and followers (ya’ll are also my friends) on notice. DO NOT DISTURB ME ON NOVEMBER 4. 😂

Want to post your suggestions for each category as well? Use the rules set by Bionic Book Worm and tag us both in your blog post. Better yet, tag Kristin at Kristin Kraves Books, too. I cannot wait to see/read it!
