I totally need to come up with more of a creative title for my BOTM picks every month, don’t I? September Selections….how bland….insert eye roll. Am I right?
I had a hard time picking this month. I did not want to get the romance book that was featured and I contemplated getting The Chestnut Man but chickened out. Maybe next month, yea?

My official pick this month was Wild Game: My Mother, Her Lover and Me by Adrienne Brodeur. This books is an actual memoir . It’s “a daughter’s tale of living in the thrall of her magnetic, complicated mother and the chilling consequences of her complicity (Goodreads)”. The story features marriage issues, a love triangle and sounds all sorts of scandalous. Wild Game: My Mother, Her Lover and Me does not release until October 15.
I only did one add-on this month and that add-on was The Whisper Man by Alex North. I saw this book all over Instagram. It is a dark, suspenseful novel with a total creep factor (Goodreads). I figured if I can stand this one, maybe I can handle The Chestnut Man by Soren Sveistrup.
So, what are your thoughts? Are they eye catching? Do you have BOTM and if so, what did you chose? Comment below.
