What season is it when you are on a trampoline in May?

I learned a valuable lesson as a book blogger in May….DON’T OVER BOOK YOURSELF (no pun intended). Do I regret it? Nope. Will I do it again? It’s definitely possible. It’s hard not to when you want to read all the books!

Most of the books I read were ARCs (Advanced Reader Copies) received by various PR firms and NetGalley. I want to personally thank the PR firms, NetGalley and all the authors for providing copies to me in exchange for an honest review.

May’s ARC and Book Reviews:

That’s a whole lot of romance, isn’t it? It is. I do love a good romance with a HEA. But I am working on ways to get more of a variety to you, my dear reader. So please stay tuned!

Jennifer Mitchell, Bibliolater May Awards & Accolades:

New Favorite Author: Out of the ten book reviews I completed this month, 8 of the authors were new to me. My favorite of the new bunch? Jennifer Woodhull. I truly loved In Other Words. It was pretty darn impeccable.

Most Nostalgic: Have you ever read a book that takes you back in time? RC Boldt’s Choose Me did that for me. The main characters have a Pop Rocks obsession. I, along with one of my childhood friends, was obsessed with Pop Rocks. I still love the occasional Pop Rock and get all giddy when I seem the sold in stores. Pop Rocks make me think of my friend which just puts the biggest smile on my face.

Favorite Feature of the Month: Autumn Jones Lake and The Lost Kings MC Series – Reader, there will always be a special place in my heart for Autumn because she had to totally put up with my fangirling all month long between this feature and my 5 star review of Zero Regret along with some outrageous theories I posted in her spoiler group on Facebook. My girl even hit the USA Today Bestseller List this month for the first time ever. So…if you have not read my post OR the books….let me tell you once last time (or at least until August when Zero Apologies releases)….DO IT!

Other Bookish Fun:

There were ten different blog tours from authors like Corinne Michaels, Georgia Cates, Shanora Williams and Ashley Cade this month.

There were also a couple of teasers including Jennifer Woodhull’s Sour and Laurelin Paige’s Slay.

And I completed a post to support Mental Health Awareness Month with a Green Book Stack.

If you missed any, be sure to go back and read through one…or two…or some…or all.

Here’s looking at you, June:

I would love to be one of those bloggers who gives you my TBR shelf for the month but I’m such a moody reader that I just can’t. And that’s OK.

Here are a few future posts I know that are coming for sure: A new Book Boyfriend feature, Book Reviews for Taylor Jenkins Reid’s Daisy Jones and The Six, Kerry Lonsdale’s Last Summer and Devney Perry’s Letters to Molly.

Got any book recommendations? Got any books you would like for me to review? Got a genre you think I should try? Do you have a Shameless Plug I should research? Enjoy the blog? Comment below.
